Cheese, Anyone?

Cheese is one of those adaptable foods which can readily
accentuate a large variety of entrees, snacks, and side
dishes. It is produced through fermentation of milk and is
one of the oldest foods known to humans. From caravans
traversing the barren Asian steppes to suave sophisticates
consuming it in chic French restaurants, cheese is served
in the most isolated of locations to the most lavish and
has done so throughout the progression of civilization.

Cheese ravioli, cheese pizza, and cheese fondue are just
some of the recipes that many cooks employ to make use of
the great taste and texture of this unique dairy food.
Alfredo sauce and a variety of cheese toppings on
vegetables, meats, and pastas allow cheese to be prepared
in an entire range of ways, from creamy sauce to chunky
salad dressing. Without these special dishes, our menus
would taste quite different and perhaps not as good.

Side dishes in many well-known recipes also call for cheese
to help make them truly delicious. Great foods are made
positively heavenly when cheese is added to them like
cheese broccoli and baked potatoes topped with the dairy
delight. For sandwiches, there is asiago bread and
Parmesan cheese enliven many varieties of veggies, stews,
and salads. Cheese added to favorites like scrambled eggs
and fried potatoes makes for even better dishes. Lastly,
do I really need to say anything about grilled cheese
sandwiches?

Snacks are given greater depth when cheese is added to them
with cheese-flavored popcorn, melted cheese atop apple
pies, and simple string-cheese being examples. Throw
together some lunchmeat, crackers, and some cheese chunks
and you have a party on your hands! Cream cheese is a
favorite of bagel-lovers or anyone wanting to spread
something other than butter on their bread. Many desserts
like frosting, cream pies, and some muffin varieties are
greatly accentuated with cheese.

Any craving can usually be satiated with some form of
cheese or other irrespective of what you may have
originally been hungry for. Dieters will be glad to know
that they need not do without the great taste of cheese
because low-fat varieties are available. Instead of eating
that piece of cake you were saving for dessert, try
substituting some cheese chunks. Got cheese? Creamy,
white, yellow, mild, sharp, or even filled with holes,
there is definitely some kind of cheese out there that will
do it for you so don't pass the grocery store tonight on
your way home without stopping in to get some. On a
budget? There are always coupons out there to help you
bring home the cheese without breaking the bank.
